The Central Travel Office continues its efforts to educate and inform UC travelers on the benefits of booking within the system-wide program.

EARTH MONTH “LUNCH FLYOVER” SESSIONS

This series will be short 15-20 minute sessions and is scheduled to start at 1210PM on the days listed.

The gift of ideas will be the valuable giveaways during these sessions.

April 17 — United Airlines will share their 100% green commitment by 2050 by reducing 100% GHG emissions without relying on traditional carbon offsets. 

April 18 — BCD Travel will share how they engage with its network of stakeholders across the company, suppliers, and clients to inspire them to live, work and travel in a more sustainable way. 

April 23 — Marriott Hotels: Join a conversation with Marriott's sustainability leader to discuss what hotels are doing and what you can do to make an impact on your next trip.

April 24 — Enterprise/National Car Rentals: Information on Enterprise Mobility and how they are giving back to the communities will be shared.

April 25 — Advito: Breaking down the buzzwords and debunking common sustainability myths. What are the common terms used in sustainability (such as aviation fuel, carbon neutrality and offsets) and how can this information help clarify what solutions exist and which ones make sense.

April 29 — UC Systemwide Procurement: This presentation will explore the State Agency Buy Recycle Campaign (SABRC) and its impact on UC's purchasing practices. We'll delve into the program's goals, its potential environmental benefits and how it will reshape our approach to sustainability.

April 30 — Earth Month Wrap-up: The Central Travel Office will close with highlights on lessons learned.
